DESCRIPTION:“First Fridays with MHB – Inside the Mind of Funders” is designed to offer support to any community-based agency\, not just our funded partners. We are trying to assist organizations beyond funding\, since there’s not enough of that to go around. If you are a community organization that serves city residents\, we invite you to join us for “First Fridays” – it’s an opportunity to ask questions and receive technical assistance on a variety of topics. You do not have to be a currently funded agency – in fact\, we are interested in getting to know you and how you are serving our community. DESCRIPTION:Dear Friends\, \nI write this on behalf of the Saint Louis MHB regarding the planned Symposium and 25th Anniversary Celebration scheduled for next Thursday\, March 19\, 2020.  Our number one priority is the health and safety of our registrants\, guests\, and speakers.  MHB has been closely monitoring information from the Center for Disease Control (CDC)\, local health departments and organizations for their recommendations and responses to the Coronavirus. \nRegrettably\, we have concluded that the Symposium and Celebration scheduled for next Thursday\, must be postponed for a later time.  As so many others in our community\, we decided that hosting a large gathering while major efforts to minimize transmission of the virus are underway\, would be most inconsiderate. \nThough we believe that this is the best decision for us at this time\, we are disappointed that we won’t be spending a special afternoon next week discussing the important topic of a “Recovery-Oriented System” and celebrating our 25th Anniversary. \nOnce we have an alternate date set for our event\, our very first step will be to notify all who registered for March 19\, so that you will be able to renew your registration and attend. \nThank you very much for your interest.  We look forward to rescheduling as soon as possible. \nSincerely\, \nJama Dodson \nExecutive Director
